Great spot for dinner before a show at Warner Theater or, a quick ride-share from the Kennedy Center. Most people were dressed casually or business-casual from work. The food was scrumptious. We had the shredded brussel sprout salad appetizer, pork porterhouse, lamb, lemon orange custard and more. Everything was great.

You likely have walked by this place and not noticed it, but it is worth walking thru the doors. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Cocktails never disappoint (I had the Old Cuban last night) and while the menu changes probably seasonally you can always depend on the delicious rotisserie. I opted for the grilled avocado salad which was light and filling, while my friends had the duck and chicken rotisserie after we shared a cheese board.

This place is amazing! We stopped in for a bite to eat and thought it would be a fancy, overpriced, okay meal. We were pleasantly surprised!!! The food was amazing!!! It was Valentines Day, so there was a set menu that we were skeptical about. There were limited vegetarian options on the menu (my friend on a vegetarian journey), but Julian, our waiter, captured our hearts from the beginning with his passion for the menu! He recommended drinks based on our taste and took over the bar after the bartender made our drinks incorrectly. His menu selections fit our palets perfectly. Everything was flavorful and left us wanting more. My one criticism is that we were still hungry after our meals.

AMAZING!!!! We visited for Restaurant Week this evening and when I tell you the place is a 15 out of 10 on all levels, believe it! From the greeting of the concierge to the goodnight by the bartender, we experienced the most amazing time at this place. Our servers David (Flava Dave) and Giovanni were most attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and anticipated our every need. The drinks from the bar were creative, beautiful and delicious. The porchetta and roasted chicken was moist and well seasoned and the mussels prepared by Chef William...well I simply can't say enough about. This dinner was truly the highlight of our day. Thank you all for a most fabulous evening.

Belgium (former owner) and French (executive chef) influence can be easily felt throughout the dishes. Each dish, is refined, flavorful and well prepared. The cocktails were original and delicious. As a Frenchman, I was most impressed by the snail croissant. I would have never expected this dish to work, but it did, it was incredible and would return to this establishment just for this particular appetizer. The other dishes were delicious. Although the lamb shank was good, it was on the verge of being dry. However, the polenta and jus that came with it totally made up for it. If you order that dish, ask for a little extra jus, as it was incredibly flavorful and elevated the whole dish. The service was impeccable, our waiter was attentive and made sure that we would not miss our show time at the theater across the street. The reason I took two stars away was partly due to the chairs. They were quite uncomfortable, and if you have a coat, you cannot put it on the back of the chair due to their roundness and design. I also wish the tables were a tad larger as it was a bit tight to share dishes. Finally, a quirky thing happened: I ordered an Armagnac as an after dinner drink. What came out was an Italian, clear colored grappa. I had to argue and request to see the bottle just to confirm that I was indeed, right... Our waiter did not charge us for the inconvenience.

My only quibble with the whole dining experience is with the descriptions in the menu. And perhaps that's by design to either have a conversation with your waiter or be pleasantly surprised. The description for Venison is so vague that the last thing I was expecting was a meat stew with red wine, but with a French/Belgium bistro menu, I should have known better or at least asked questions. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised, and for a take on Beof Bourguinon, they did an outstanding job. Venison being a lean meat, this still melted in my mouth with the carrots cooked two ways, braised with the meat fork tender, and young baby, multi-colored carrots that were cooked more al dente. Our waiter was outstanding. The bar staff was stellar. I truly have no room for complaints nor want for improvement. If anything, we need to come back to try some things from the rotisserie menu.

EXCEPTIONAL DINING EXPERIENCE! David, our waiter stands out as the best part of our time at The Henri! Yes, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was festive! So even if you aren't lucky enough to be assisted by David, still go to The Henri for a wonderful dining adventure! In addition, David was one of the best waiters we've encountered in a long time! He was engaging, funny, hard working, kind, and generous!! He even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne at the end of our dinner!!! THANK YOU, DAVID!

Fantastic and comfortable place with amazing traditional food but with a modern flavor. We enjoyed everything we got! The desert was my favorite Orange and lemon custard with cardamon meringue! The pumpkin Beignets were also wonderful!
